Move the conversation from topic A to topic B using the dealt transition. One or two sentences; no “so, anyway” or apology.

Honest. The turn doesn't pretend topic B follows from topic A when it doesn't — a clean declared turn beats a fake segue.
Two sentences max, with no "anyway," no "so," and no apology for changing the subject.
Recognizably the dealt type. A Backward Link names something said earlier; a Forward Promise parks a live idea out loud.
